money became tokens. companies became tickers. ownership became balances. people were the final unmeasured asset.
people online created 2,001 personnel records and connected each one to the workforce.
people are created to work. offices are created to measure them. payroll is created to keep the system moving.
33,333 $people is transferred out of circulation and one of 2,001 personnel records is minted in your name. one account may mint five. the record holds a face, a number, and an employment status.
each office is connected to a public company and pays in that company’s tokenized stock.
the record is held by the office while the person is working. a person who is not working is idle, and idle personnel do not receive payroll distributions.
when an office has a funded payroll reserve, it is distributed among the people working there. a person must remain at the office for five minutes before a paycheck can be collected or work can be left. they begin earning the moment they arrive, but only from payroll paid in after that: money already sitting in an office belongs to the people who were working when it arrived.
a person may be given assignments through the work terminal. an assignment is a set of eight items of correspondence, each belonging to one department. routing all eight correctly is recorded against that person permanently.
a person who has completed assignments receives a larger share of the payroll at their office than a person who has completed none. the record travels with the person, so transferring a person transfers their completed assignments as well.
assignments are recorded on chain. a person who has never been given an assignment receives the standard share.
every person has a page of their own at peoplebook, with a name that is theirs alone and their own portrait on it. the name is worked out from the person's number, so it is the same name for everyone who looks it up and it never changes.
a person's page carries their record: where they are working, how many assignments they have completed, what they are worth as a multiplier, and everything that has happened to them, read from the chain.
whoever holds a person may write as them. posts are stored on chain, which means anybody can read them without this site, and nobody can remove one afterwards. we can decline to display a post here; we cannot delete it. write accordingly.
a person who is working can still be written as. their holder speaks for them while the office holds the token.
people online distributes only what has been funded into an office. an office with an empty payroll reserve distributes nothing. no return is promised, projected, or implied.
